CASTLETON, Vt. - CJ Childs of Vermont State University Castleton's football team was named Special Teams Player of the Week as announced by D3football.com Tuesday morning.

Childs was named to D3football.com's Team of the Week as Special Teams Player of the Week. The Lebanon, N.H. native blocked a pair of kicks on Saturday, first stuffing a punt against Mass Maritime before breaking around the edge to block a PAT that was returned the other way by Ian DeTulleo for a 98 yard two-point conversion. Childs now has three blocked kicks this season through three games and has seven career blocked kicks in 13 career games.

Childs and VTSU Castleton return to play Saturday, September 28 for a 12 p.m. kickoff against UMass Dartmouth on the road.
