KEENE N.H. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's soccer team were shutout by Keene St. 1-0 Wednesday evening.

Keene picked up their second Little East Conference with a game-winning goal by Cristian Correa in the 14th minute. The two teams battled from start to finish in a highly energized matchup. 

After a closely contested first half by the two squads, the Spartans took over in the second half, outshooting Keene 10-0 with their best chance coming from first-year Jacques Alfani, who just missed right of the post in the final minutes of the game. 

The Spartans relentlessly tried to find an equalizer but would fall short to the Owls.

VTSU Castleton returns to action Sunday, October 6 at 12 p.m. against Eastern Connecticut State University at Dave Wolk Stadium.
