MARSHFIELD, Mass. – 31 Castleton University ice hockey players were recognized by the New England Hockey Conference with an appointment to the league's All-Academic Team recently, comprised of 16 men and 15 women.
To be eligible for All-Academic recognition a student must carry a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA and have completed one full year at their current institution by the beginning of the hockey season. Student-athletes that were freshmen or first-years transfer during the 2021-22 season were not eligible.
On the men's side,
Glenn Wiswell landed the award for the fourth year in a row, while
Kyle Kazeroid,
Anton Tarvainen,
Sam Rennert,
Andrew Barber,
Alex Maunula,
Connor Rider and
Jahwara Rennalls became three-time honorees.
Brandon Collett, Calvin Moise,
Conner Ladabouche,
Kyle Sargent and Jeremy LaPlante all earned the honor for the second consecutive year, while
Stone Stelzl,
Hunter Sarro and
Justin Stairs were named to the team in their first year of eligibility.
For the women,
Courtney Gauthier became a four-time honoree, with
Ryanne Mix earning the award for the third time.
