INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Castleton field hockey team filled the final slot in Sunday night's NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship Selection Show, presented with a first round matchup at Tufts.

The Spartans faced the Jumbos back in 2012 in the opening round, falling 8-0. In the midst of a storybook season, the Spartans are in their fourth NCAA Tournament of the modern era. Their opponents have been Utica (2008), Tufts (2012), and Cortland (2013). Castleton looks to win their first NCAA playoff game.

Castleton comes into the contest with a 14-7 overall record, 9-3 in Little East Conference play. The Spartans won the LEC Championship game on Saturday over top-seeded Southern Maine, 2-1. The Jumbos enter after being blanked by Middlebury, 2-0, in Sunday's NESCAC Championship.

Tufts finished 12-6 on the year with a 7-3 record in NESCAC action. Making their eleventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament under head coach Tina Mattera, the Jumbos won the 2012 Division III National Championship with a win against Montclair State in the finals.

The contest is set for Wednesday, November 9 at 5 p.m. at Ounjian Field in Boston, Mass. Game time is TBA.
