CASTLETON, Vt. – The Castleton University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to strong programs on Saturday, falling to Plymouth State and Fisher in tri-match action at Glenbrook Gym.
The Spartans fell 25-11, 25-16, 25-11 to Plymouth before dropping the nightcap 25-14, 25-20, 25-18 to Fisher. Castleton is now 4-17 on the season and 0-6 in Little East Conference play.
Jenna Schott had 15 kills across the two matches while
Hailey Martinovich added 11 and
Vanessa LeBrun 10.
Caitlin Mahoney and
Maddie Delsignore each had 18 digs on the day and Martinovich and LeBrun had 17 apiece.
Jadyn Bates finished with 11 digs over the two matches. Delsignore also amassed 31 assists on the day.
Castleton returns to the court on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. when it travels to SUNY Cobleskill for a non-conference contest. The Spartans bested Cobleskill 3-2 earlier this season in Glenbrook Gym.
