QUINCY, Mass. - The Castleton men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 loss at Eastern Nazarene College Wednesday evening.
Adolphe Alfani netted the Spartans' lone goal.
The Lions (5-4-0) drew first blood in the fifth minute, but Alfani knotted the match in the 29th minute. He received a long pass from
Jacob Godfrey and saw his first shot denied before tapping home the rebound. It marked his fourth tally of the season, which leads all Spartans.
Eastern Nazarene regained the lead to give Castleton (2-7-0, 1-1-0 LEC) a 2-1 deficit in the 34th minute via penalty kick. Neither side would find the back of the net until the final minute of the contest, when the Lions tacked on a third.
Shots on goal were 8-2 in favor of the Lions. Goalkeeper
Jonathan Maul received the starting nod and made five saves. Alfani was responsible for both Castleton shots.
