CASTLETON, Vt. -- The Castleton University men's tennis suffered a Little East Conference (LEC) contest to Rhode Island College Friday afternoon, falling 9-0 at the Castleton Tennis Courts.

The Spartans fell behind as the Anchormen took a commanding 3-0 at the end of doubles play. Both the first and second doubles flights suffered defeats as
Rowan Kidder and
Connor Davis dropped an 8-0 decision at first doubles while
Jason Lipscomb and
Alijah Seymour fell 8-1 at second doubles. As the Spartans came into today's match shorthanded, the Anchormen gained an advantage and stole the victory at third doubles due to a forfeit.

As singles play began,
Rafael Robles won two games in the first set before dropping a 6-2, 6-0 decision to Dylan Tashdjian at fifth singles. Lipscomb, Davis, and Seymour all won games as all three feel 6-0, 6-1 at second, third, and fourth singles, respectively.

Castleton returns to action Saturday, April 24, as the Spartans travel to Southern Maine to take on the Huskies in a Little East Conference starting at 1 p.m.
