BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Four members of the Castleton field hockey program were recognized Tuesday morning as Gabriella Hunt, Kimberly McCarthy, Madelyn Cote, and Aleah Murph were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) 2020 Division III Scholars of Distinction list. This comes just one week after the program placed 11 players on the NFHCA National Academic Squad. 
 
An early graduate, Hunt has earned the honor in consecutive years. The remaining three earned the distinction in their first years of eligibility. 
 
The NFHCA recognizes student-athletes who achieved a GPA of 3.9 or higher in the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year. More than 450 individuals across Division III were named, including 30 from the Little East Conference.
