EAST BURKE, Vt. – The Castleton University men's alpine team had a lone skier compete in FIS Slalom action at Burke Mountain Wednesday, with Christopher Kerven taking to the slopes in a 100-man field.

Kerven notched an impressive 18th-place finish in the opening race of the day, finishing with a time of 1:34.35. He posted runs of 47.82 and 46.53 to finish inside the top 20 for the event. He posted a DNF result in the second race of the day.
