CASTLETON, Vt. - The Castleton men's soccer team dropped a 6-0 contest to a tough UMass Boston squad Friday evening at Dave Wolk Stadium.
The Beacons (13-3-1, 6-1-1 LEC) first found the back of the net in the ninth minute and didn't look back. Castleton (4-13-0, 2-6-0 LEC) held the visitors' attack in check for the majority of the opening half, allowing the potent offense two goals. The later first half tally came in the 27th minute.
The second half featured four UMass Boston, three of which came from Yuran Teixeira, who netted three consecutive. His first came in the 56th minute before wrapping up the hat trick in the 68th minute.
The Beacons tacked on another in the 87th minute to round out the scoring.
