CASTLETON, Vt. - The Castleton women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Salem State Thursday afternoon at Castleton Tennis Courts.
Megan Hunt and
Makayla Boisvert earned the Spartans' lone doubles victory, 6-8. Boisvert went on to pick up one of Castleton's two singles wins. She defeated Salem State's Miah Reyes in straight sets. Boisvert leads all Spartans with a 6-5 record in singles action.
Grace Sharkey earned Castleton's other singles victory with a straight-sets effort, featuring a pair of 6-4 games over Abbie Laliberte.
Matilda Gutke went the distance in a three-set match, but dropped the decider.
The loss concludes the Spartans' 2021 campaign.
