PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Castleton field hockey team fell 1-0 at the hands of Plymouth St. Tuesday evening in a game that was resumed from last Wednesday.

The loss moves the Spartans to 1-3 overall, while Plymouth St. moves to 3-1.

Play resumed Wednesday evening with 25:43 to go in the second half of play with Castleton trailing 1-0. Nicole Burgess scored the lone goal in the game for the Panthers, finding the back of the cage 12 minutes into the game.

The tale of the game was defense, as both goalies put solid performances on the board. Meeghan Doris stopped 17 out of 18 shots in the game, while Alivia Bates stopped all seven shots she faced from the Spartans.
