CASTLETON, Vt. – The Castleton women's tennis team picked up its second consecutive victory, beating Lyndon St. on Saturday 7-2.  With the victory, the Spartans are now 3-1 on the season.

Senior Meghan Susslin continued her sparkling form for Castleton, winning the first flight singles match 6-3, 6-0. The victory improves Susslin's record to 3-0 in singles action.

Playing in the No. 3 singles slot, Olga McIntyre maintained her perfect record, picking up the victory 7-5, 6-3. The senior's excellent play was also present in doubles action as she teamed with Sara Novenstern and picked up a victory for Castleton in the second flight doubles match.

Ruby Bushey picked up her first singles victory of the year with a dominating performance. The junior did not lose a single point in the No. 6 singles match, beating her opponent 6-0, 6-0.

The Spartans will be in action again on Wednesday when they host Sage for a non-conference matchup at 4 pm.
