CASTLETON, Vt. – The Spartans dropped their first North Eastern Atlantic Conference East Division match of the season on Saturday, losing to Colby-Sawyer 9-0.

Castleton struggled to compete with their conference foes, especially in doubles, as the Spartans failed to win a single point in three doubles matches. Overall, Colby-Sawyer put on a dominating performance, posting six straight sets singles victories and recording three 8-0 wins in doubles play.

With the loss, the Spartans fall to 9-3 overall and 4-1 in the NEAC East Division. Castleton returns to action on Sunday when they travel to Lyndon for a conference match at 1 pm.​
