Castleton, Vt. - The Spartans came up short on Wednesday, Sept. 18 when they fell to visiting Plymouth St. by a score of 8-1.

Castleton slipped into an 0-3 hole after doubles play, dropping all three flights to the Panthers. It was senior Olga McIntyre who grabbed the Spartans' only point on the day. McIntyre downed Plymouth's Jane Duggan 6-3, 6-4 at the third singles flight, improving her record to 3-2 on the season at third singles.

The squad falls to 0-5 and will take on the Thomas Terriers on Saturday, Sept. 21.
