Rutland, Vt. – Castleton concluded its regular season on Sunday in a 5-4 loss to Thomas at Grand Slam Tennis in Rutland. 

The Spartans dropped two of three doubles matches, with Ruby Bushey and Monika Plante providing the lone win at No. 3 doubles 9-8 (3). In singles action Castleton put up a fight at the backend its lineup in splitting the six singles matches. 

Plante won 8-2 at No. 6 singles while Bushey provided an 8-2 win at No. 4 singles. Olga McIntyre provided the team's third win at No. 2 singles, taking down Dalia Williams by an 8-6 score. 

Castleton now returns to action next Saturday for the NEAC East Tournament hosted by the Spartans.
