New London, N.H. - A victory at No. 6 singles proved to be the only win for the Spartans as they dropped a North Eastern Athletic Conference matchup against Colby-Sawyer on Saturday.
Freshman Monika Plante earned a straight-set victory at No. 6, winning 6-1 and 6-4 as Castleton dropped its first conference match of the year. The team is now 4-1 in the NEAC and 4-8 overall.
In doubles, the duo of Taylor Reynolds and Kaydeen Juaire lost 8-2 at No. 3 while the Spartans were swept 8-0, 8-0 at first and second doubles. Reynolds also provided some competition at No. 5 while falling 6-0, 6-2.
The Spartans return to action tomorrow when they host Thomas at 12 pm.
