Rutland, Vt. - The Spartans' women's tennis team dropped their first North East Atlantic Conference match of the year in Rutland on Saturday, losing to Colby-Sawyer 9-0.

Lauren Fedorka and Sara Novenstern nearly stole a point at third doubles, but could not complete their comeback and fell 8-4.

Castleton drops to 4-5, 3-1 in the NEAC and will play again Thursday, Sept. 27 against Union.
