Rutland, Vt. - The Spartans' winning streak was snapped by The Sage Colleges, who stole a 5-4 match from Castleton on Wednesday.

Chelsea Crehan earned a double-bagel at fourth singles, beating Sage's Mary Kate Hayward 6-0, 6-0.

With the loss, Castleton falls to 4-4 on the season. The Spartans will take on NEAC foe Colby-Sawyer in a rematch of the 2011 NEAC East Championship on Saturday, Sept. 22.
