CASTLETON, Vt. – Senior forward Mark Comstock was named the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week after leading the Spartans to a 1-1 record last week. 

Comstock averaged 27.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 54.3 percent from the field and 86.7 percent from the charity stripe in a pair of games. Facing a tough Springfield squad, Comstock scored 29 points and pulled down ten rebounds to keep Castleton in a game they ended up losing by just four, 74-70. On Saturday he pumped in 26 points with eight boards as the Spartans earned a 77-72 overtime victory against Elms. 

The Spartans return to action on Jan. 8, when they host Lyndon St. at 7:30 pm.
