LATHAM, N.Y. – East Division champion Castleton defeated West Division champion Keuka, 7-2, to claim its second-straight North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) women's tennis title at Tri-City Fitness on Saturday afternoon.

The Spartans (13-1) will represent the conference at the NCAA Division III Tournament later this month. The Storm's season ends at 8-5.

Castleton's Michelle Podnecky defeated Megan McGowa – 6-4, 6-4 – in #1 singles and teamed up with Kate Bucci in #1 doubles to defeat McGowan and Meghan Storie, 8-5, to pace the Spartans.

Bucci also secured a 7-5, 6-2 win in #2 singles over Storie to help Castleton five-out-of-six matches in singles play.

Brittni Racine and Chelsea Crehan earned an 8-3 win over Emily Knapsack and Brin Benjamin, 8-3, in #2 doubles play to take two-out-of-three matches in doubles.
