CASTLETON, Vt. - The Castleton State College women's volleyball team dropped a three-set non-conference match to visiting Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts Wednesday evening at Glenbrook Gymnasium. MCLA won sets by scores of 25-22, 25-23 and 25-14 to improve to 3-0 while Castleton falls to 0-2.

Jillian Gariepy (Tewksbury, Mass.) led the Trailblazers attack with eight kills on 14 attempts and three service aces. Chelsea Halsted (Hudson, N.Y.) and Christina Kidd (Glens Falls, N.Y.) added six kills apiece, while Kriten Robillard (Swansea, Mass.) provided 24 assists.

Ashley Kepaa (North Attleboro, Mass.) led the Spartans with nine kills, five assists and two service aces to go along with seven digs. Chelsea Schlosser (Endicott, N.Y.) chipped in eight kills and Grace Schreiber (Cheshire, Conn.) added six.

Castleton will travel to Colby-Sawyer for a pair of matches with Colby-Sawyer and Anna Maria Saturday, September 18.
