Castleton uses balanced attack to dismiss Hornets 85-66

Lyndonville, VT -Castleton placed six players in double figures and turned the ball over just eight times, on their way to their second consecutive victory. Leading the way was seniro Jeremy Jorgensen with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Castleton led by eight at the break, and stretched their lead even further in the second half. Lyndon's Brad Durr poured in a game-high 31 points and hauled in 14 rebounds to try and keep the Hornets within striking distance. Joining Durr in double-figures with 16 points and 11 rebounds was Kali-Stoddard Imari.

Lyndon would have no answer for Castleton's balance as Rich Reilly tallied 13 points and four assists. Jorgensen and Reilly were followed in the box score by Joey Farley with 12, Matt Tomaino with 12 and Alden Gregory with 10. Second-semester addition, Josh Howe, made his Castleton debut and dropped 11 points on 5-8 shooting.

With the win Castleton improves to 3-6 and is back in action Friday, January 12, when they take on Husson College at 8:00 PM in North Atlantic Conference action.
