Castleton, VT-The Castleton State College men's basketball team dropped their North Atlantic Conference home opener 92-67 to Husson College. The Eagles placed four players in double figures led by Sheraud Lee's 17 off the bench. Jeremy Jorgensen scored a game high 19 and hauled in 7 rebounds for the Spartans but it wasn't enough to combat the balanced Eagle attack.

Husson led by six at halftime and utilized a strong run midway through the second half to cruise to the conference win. Tyler Muzzy scored 16 points and grabbed nine boards, while Brock Bradford and Jason Harvey added 15 and 14 points respectively to round out the Eagles in double figures. Matt Tomaino was the only other Spartan in double figures as he added 10.

With the win Husson improves to 9-4 (5-0 NAC). Castleton falls to 3-7 (0-3 NAC). The Spartans will play host to Maine Maritime Academy, while Husson travels North to Johnson State. Both are North Atlantic Conference tilts.
