Shawn Gibbons enters his fifth season on the coaching staff in 2025-26. Prior to his time in Castleton, he served as an undergraduate student manager at UMass-Lowell during the program's first few years as a Division I member.
He graduated from UMass-Lowell with a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in political science in 2019 and received a master's in athletic leadership from Vermont State University in 2025. In addition to coaching at Castleton, he currently teaches History and Social Studies at Mount St Joseph Academy in Rutland.
“Shawn has made a tremendous impact on our recruiting over the last two years as a graduate assistant and has earned the role of associate head coach,” said Coach Culpo.
