Smith began working as Castleton's equipment manager in the fall of 2011, but has been working at the university in some capacity since 2007.

He coordinates with various companies to deal with all of Castleton's equipment needs, as well as monitoring and maintaining all varsity sporting uniforms and supplies. As event facilitator he makes sure all fields are properly maintained and ready for game action.

Prior to his current position, Smith served as the Assistant Manager at Spartan Arena from 2007-11, he was in charge of Facility Maintenance & Operations.
