Hamid enters her first season on the Spartans’ women’s ice hockey team as a graduate assistant coach in 2024-2025. Hamid joins the program with goaltending skill coaching experience, a collegiate goaltending career, and NCAA DIII student assistant coaching experience.

In her career as a goaltender at SUNY Cortland, Hamid appeared in 16 games, posted an 11-2 record with 3 shutouts, and accumulated 1 assist. In her rookie season (2021-22), Hamid set a school record for lowest single-season GAA (1.33), this record now sits at second all-time. She is also the current leader for all-time lowest career GAA (1.23) and tied for second in all-time career save percentage (.928). In the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, Hamid was voted the team’s “Spark Plug” by her teammates and coaching staff, for her contagious positivity and enthusiastic spirit. After facing a career-ending injury early in the 2023-24 season, Hamid served as a student assistant coach for the Red Dragons. That year, the team won their first-ever conference title (SUNYAC) and made their first appearance in the NCAA DIII Tournament. 

Hamid is a goaltending skill development coach with Troyan Goaltending Academy. She has also served as goaltending evaluator for USA Hockey NYSAHA Eastern Region for the last 2 years. 

The Long Island, NY native received a bachelor's degree in Sport Management with a Concentration in Sport Facility and Event Management in 2024 from SUNY Cortland. She is now earning her Masters of Science in Athletic Leadership at Vermont State University-Castleton.
