In addition to serving as an Assistant Coach for the Men's and Women's Cross Country program, Dr. Andy Vermilyea is an Environmental Chemistry Professor and Program Coordinator for the Environmental Science Program at Castleton. An accomplished ultra trail runner, Coach Vermilyea earned runner up finishes at the Vermont 100 and Grindstone 100 in Virgina. He posted wins at the Virgil Crest 50 and Manitou's Revenge (course record). Nationally, he has posted top-10 finishes at Cascade Crest 100, and Hardrock 100 and internationally, he placed 47th at Ultra Trail Mont Blanc in the French Alps.Â
