Jared Costa

After completing his intercollegiate wrestling career, Jared Costa is staying with the Castleton wrestling program as an assistant coach.

Costa transferred to Castleton from Anderson University in South Carolina to help start the Spartan wrestling program in the fall of 2016. Over his two years at Castleton, he wrestled at 165 pounds, posting a 53-18 record (.746). After going 27-8 during his junior year, including a 17-match winning streak, Costa posted a 26-10 record in his senior season, capping it with All-Region honors after finishing fourth at the 2018 NCAA Division III Wrestling Northeast Regional Championship. 

In the classroom, Costa earned his bachelor's degree in sports management, receiving Scholar All-American honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) twice as well as All-Academic recognition from the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) two times. He is pursuing his master's degree in sports leadership from Castleton.
