Kurker joined the Castleton wrestling staff as a graduate assistant in the fall of 2022 after a five-year wrestling career at Southern Maine.
Kurker went 19-11 in his final year at Southern Maine, including a win over an NCAA qualifier. He registered top finishes of second in his weight class at the Ted Reese Invitational and third in his class at the Doug Parker Invitational. A solid high school wrestler, Kurker was an All-State wrestler in high school in the state of Massachusetts.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from USM and is pursuing a master’s in athletic leadership at Castleton. Originally from Needham, Mass., Kurker now resides in Rutland, Vermont.
