Jon Hall enters his fourth season working with the Castleton goalies in 2020-21. Hall played three years of college hockey at SUNY Potsdam from 2012-2015. In 37 career games, he went 16-15-4 with a 3.18 goals-against average, a .912 save percentage, and two shutouts. He was the primary starter for the Bears in 2014-15, when he went 12-8-2 overall and 8-5-2 in the SUNYAC.

In 2019-20, Hall helped rookie Brandon Collett rack up the saves. Collett registered 50-plus saves in four outings, including a 54-save effort in a 2-1 win over No. 2 Norwich. 

In Hall’s first season with Castleton, he helped coach Ryan Mulder, Castleton’s all-time leader in saves (2,005), save percentage (.909), games played (79), and games started (75). Following the season, Mulder signed a professional contract to play in the Southern Professional Hockey League. 

Most recently, Hall coached Wyatt Pickrell, who became the fourth goalie in program history to surpass 1,000 career-saves. A native of Watertown, New York, Hall is currently a Trooper with the Vermont State Police.
