Anthony Matarazzo

Anthony Matarazzo enters his second season as an assistant after joining the Castleton men’s hockey coaching staff prior to the 2021-22 season. 12 years of coaching and player development experience led him to Castleton, most recently serving as the Director of Hockey for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL. 
Previously, Matarazzo spent two years at the helm of the 16U Mercer Chiefs in Hamilton, N.J. and was named to the All-Star game as a coach, with several of his Players going on to play at the USHL, AJHL & Prep levels. Before that, Matarazzo was the Director of Recruiting for the Jersey Shore Whalers Midget Program & U18 Head coach where he led the Whalers to the ECC College Cup Championship. He got his start in coaching at his alma mater, Suffolk University, as the head coach and general manager of the school’s ACHA program. Matarazzo would then go on to coach the varsity program at New Jersey’s Rumson-Fair Haven High School.  
Coach Matarazzo spends the offseason at his farm in Galena, Illinois with his family, Susan, Johnny, and Julia.
