Murray joined the Castleton men's hockey team as a graduate assistant coach in August 2022 after completing successful careers in both college and juniors.
The Chino, California-native played Division III hockey for four years at Stevenson University, earning All-Conference recognition all four years, while also being named the MAC Defensive Player of the Year twice. and earning spots on the All-UCHC and All-MAC First Teams in his senior season. Prior to going to Stevenson, Murray played junior hockey in both the BCHL and NAHL, concluding his amateur career in Canada with the Merritt Centennials in 2017.
