CLINTON, N.Y. -- The Vermont State University Castleton men's cross country team placed 10th at the Hamilton Short Course Invitational on Saturday morning. 

Castleton finished 10th out of 11 teams with a team time of 19:17.9. Zach Taylor led the Spartans for the second consecutive week, placing 64th overall with a time of 17:49.4. Robert Ragazzo followed in 94th at 18:45.3. 

Asher Lauzon placed 107th with a time of 19:19.4, while Andrew Drenga crossed the line in 19:59.4 to take 114th. 

Noah McDonald finished 121st in 20:36.2. Alex Hay followed in 125th with a time of 12:25.7. 

Nathan Benson placed 134th in 22:04.1, while Shamir Rimal rounded out the Spartans' finishers in 135th at 22:31.5. 

VTSU Castleton returns to action Saturday, Sept. 26 at noon for the Fairgrounds Showdown, hosted by RPI.
