PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's ice hockey team, the sixth seed in the Little East Conference Ice Hockey Championship Tournament presented by Townshend Hockey, saw its postseason run come to an end with a 5–2 road loss to third-seeded Plymouth State University on Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
The opening period was evenly matched until late, when Plymouth State struck twice in a span of 1:23. Goals at 15:34 and 16:57 gave the Panthers a 2–0 lead heading into the first intermission. The second goal came on the power play after Marcus Bellomo was assessed a hit-from-behind penalty.
Castleton spent much of the middle stanza defending but broke through when Logan Dapprich pulled the Spartans within one at 2–1. Dapprich's goal was assisted by Trevor Castino and Jackson Edwards. Plymouth State responded before the end of the period, scoring with seven minutes remaining to restore its two-goal cushion.
The Panthers added another tally early in the third period to make it 4–1, then pushed the lead to four with a goal nine minutes later.
Castleton's final goal of the season came at 17:54 of the third period after a roughing call sent the Spartans to the power play. Cam Reid netted the special-teams goal, with assists from Castino and Emmett McHardy.
The contest concluded following a flurry of penalties to Aiden Robson and Plymouth State's Kim Hilmerson, accounting for a combined 32 penalty minutes—16 assessed to each player.

Logan Dapprich wrapped up his senior season with 19 points on six goals and 13 assists. He finishes his career with 29 points, including eight goals and 21 assists.

Fellow senior Josh Ward anchored the crease with 36 saves. He graduates ranked eighth all-time in saves (981) and seventh in wins (13) in the Castleton record books.
