RIPTON, Vt. — The Castleton men's Nordic skiing team concluded the Mansfield Divisional Championship Sunday morning with the Classic Team Sprint.
The trio of Braydon Jourden, Antonio Mannino, and Kristupas Merkelis placed 15th in the 3x3 1.2K relay, finishing in 37:06. Shawn Allen and Boniface Ndikumwenayo joined forces with Dartmouth's John Deforest to finish 20th with a time of 41:06.

Many skiers donned wacky outfits including a birthday sash (Allen), hospital gown, chicken hats, and banana suits. The Rikert Nordic Center also hosted a three-legged race for Valentine's Day following the relay event.
The Spartans are back in Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference action next weekend, February 18-19 for the ECSC Regionals at Mt. Van Hoevenberg.
