  • Madsen Forms Connections, Hones Professional Skills at NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar

    Alex Madsen, a four-year member of the Castleton University women’s volleyball team, was selected as a member of the class that traveled to the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis, Ind., for this year’s three-day program on Jan. 25-27.

    Castleton University placed 25 student-athletes on the North Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team for Fall 2016, as the conference office announced Tuesday the 207 student-athletes throughout the league who were named to the squad.

    As a member of the Castleton women’s volleyball team and an athletic training major, Sarah Wheeler said she had a lot to balance as a student-athlete. Nearly three years after turning her tassel beneath the pavilion, Wheeler is still juggling a heavy workload with her passion of volleyball.
