Nadler Earns Two Wins As Castleton Falls To Bridgewater State

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Megan Nadler's victory at first singles and doubles was not enough as the Castleton University women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Little East Conference opponent Bridgewater State at Rosen Memorial Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon.

Castleton falls to 3-8 overall and remains winless in the conference at 0-7, while Bridgewater State improves to 7-6 and 4-3.

Nadler and Kirsten Kruk were able to salvage a point for the Spartans from the doubles portion of the match after the Bears started out hot. The first doubles pairing improved to 6-5 on the year as they earned an 8-6 decision.

Moving on to singles play, Nadler conquered her opponent to improve to 2-0 on the day. The junior earned a straight-sets 6-3, 6-4 win, looking in control from the start.

Women's tennis returns to action for its final regular season road match as it travels to face UMass-Boston at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
