WATERVILLE, Maine – Kirsten Kruk of the Castleton University women's tennis team earned North Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week recognition for the week ending Sept. 24.
The Clifton Park, N.Y. native went undefeated during the team's three conference wins against MCLA, Husson and Thomas. Castleton is now 7-4 on the season and 4-1 in NAC play.
Opening the week against the Trailblazers, Kruk was dominant in her play, dismantling her MCLA opponent 6-1, 6-0. Following a 6-1, 6-2 win over her Husson opponent, she continued her impressive form by downing Thomas 6-1, 6-1.
Kruk has now won three singles matches in a row and is 5-4 on the season. Meanwhile, the junior also went 3-0 alongside her teammate at first doubles to move to 6-3 on the year.
Women's tennis continues their conference slate on the road as they travel to Lyndon State for a 3:30 p.m. first serve on Wednesday.
