Women's Tennis Edged by Plymouth State in Season Finale
 Plymouth, N.H. – The Castleton women's tennis team finished its fall season by surrendering a tightly-contested 5-4 match at Plymouth State on Tuesday afternoon. 

Ciara Bannister earned a point for Castleton in No. 1 singles after taking straight sets by scores of 6-4 and 6-2. The Second Team All-Conference junior finishes her season 8-7 overall in first singles action.

Megan Nadler came next in second singles, also earning a point for Castleton with straight-set victories, 6-3 and 6-2. The freshman played strong down the stretch, finishing an even 7-7 for the Spartans in No. 2 singles.

Kirsten Kruk, another Second Team All-Conference member, picked up her team-leading tenth win of the season in third singles with wins of 6-0 and 6-2. The win pushed Kruk to double-digit wins for the second consecutive season, posting a 10-5 overall mark in No. 3 singles for Castleton. 

The Spartans took one out of three matches in doubles action when Nadler and Kayla Zsido improved to 4-1 on the season with an 8-3 victory in second flight doubles. Bannister and Kruk nearly took another point for the Spartans in first flight doubles, but ultimately fell 8-6 to secure the victory for the Panthers.

Castleton concludes its fall season with a 7-8 overall record and finished 4-3 in the North East Athletic Conference East Division, marking the ninth consecutive season in which the Spartans notched a winning record in conference play.
