The Castleton State College women's tennis team will enter the 2010 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) East Division Tournament as the top seed. Castleton was undefeated for the third-straight season in conference play, going 50-4 against their conference competition in the six wins.
Second-seed Lyndon State College will square off with third-seed Johnson State College in the opening round of the single-elimination tournament on Thursday, October 14th at 3:30 pm. The winner will meet the top-seeded Spartans on Saturday, October 16th. Thomas College will not compete in the championship.
Beginning with the 2010 season, North Atlantic Conference (NAC) members Castleton, Johnson St., Lyndon St., and Thomas have played in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) as associate members in the East Division.
Each division will hold a championship and the two divisional champions will meet to determine the conference champion. The conference winner will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship. The NEAC West Division champion will be deterined in the spring after their divisional competition.
