Women's Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Academic Team Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second consecutive year and the fifth time overall, the Castleton University women's soccer team was recognized by the United Soccer Coaches with the 2018-19 College Team Academic Award, which is given to teams with a 3.0 or higher grade point average. 

For the 2018-19 academic year, 644 collegiate women's soccer teams across all NCAA divisions and the NAIA were recognized by the organization.  

The Spartans qualified for the award with team GPA of 3.22. Castleton is joined on the list from the Little East Conference members Eastern Connecticut State University and Plymouth State University. 

Castleton has been recognized in 2012, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019. To view the complete United Soccer Coaches release, click here
