Freshman Tatum Shappy also scored her second goal of the season and junior goalkeeper Loren Henderson and sophomore Alex Benfatti combined to shut-out the Trailblazers with a total of two saves for Castleton (3-2-0).
Nichols was involved in three of the four first-half goals for the Spartans. She scored the first goal of the contest at the 4:52 mark and went on to assist on the first of Carone's goals at 10:23. She got another one 4:35 later as Jamie Barrett collected an assist. Bellando moved into a tie for seventh on the all-time Castleton leaderboard with her 29th and 30th goals of her career and sits just one shy of a pair of alumni - Erin Hanlon '08 and Tina Davis '97 – with 31 and in a tie for fifth.
