Swaine earned all-conference honors for the second time of her career. She was also named to the North Atlantic Conference Second Team following her junior season. In her farewell season, Swaine hit .322 overall with a home run and 25 RBIs primarily out of the cleanup spot for the Spartans. In conference action, the Oakdale, New York native went 10-for-43 (.233) with a double and three RBIs in 14 games. She was also a steady presence in the Castleton infield, handling 180 total chances at first base with a fielding percentage of .978.
Swaine was strongest later in the season, hitting safely in nine of her final 10 games, including a seven-game hitting streak. She also produced three straight multi-hit games down the stretch. In game one on the road at Bay Path on April 13, she went 3-for-3 with a homer and six RBIs and also became the 10th player in program history to reach 100 career hits. She ended her career ranked seventh all-time with 111 hits and 23 doubles. She is also eighth all-time with 76 RBIs.
LaPan had a stellar rookie season for the Spartans, hitting .321 overall and was one of three regular starters with an on-base percentage over .400. She routinely worked the count out of the leadoff spot and tied for the team-lead with nine walks and also reached on two hit-by-pitches. She struck out just twice for fewest on the team amongst players with at least 20 plate appearances. In conference play, the Hudson Falls, New York native hit .268 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored. She went 4-for-6 on April 13 at Bay Path with four runs scored, a double, and two RBIs.
LaPan was also valuable in the field playing primarily second base and occasionally shortstop for the Spartans. She handled 45 putouts and assisted 53 times for a .961 fielding percentage up the middle.
Castleton finished the season 15-17 overall including a 4-10 LEC mark. After sitting at 7-14 through the first 21 games, the Spartans were victorious in eight of their final 11 contests. The Spartans graduate two seniors and will have 14 eligible returners for the 2020 season.
