The Spartans earned a 36th place finish in the NCAA Regionals on Saturday, hosted by University of Southern Maine. The team improved on last year's finish, moving up from 38th in the event last season.
The Spartans will hit the road for their final meet of the season on Saturday, Nov. 16. The team will brave the cold and wind to participate in the NCAA Regional Championships hosted by University of Southern Maine on Saturday, beginning at 11:00am.
Castleton, Vt. - Castleton enters the NAC Championships this weekend with a chip on their shoulder. In the North Atlantic Cconference preseason poll, the Spartans were picked fifth overall. Despite the poll being released over two months ago, the squad still feels like they have something to prove.
Castleton came up short in the NAC Championships on Sunday afternoon finishing third in the 10-team field. Three Spartans finished inside of the top 20, but it wasn't enough as the team was bested by Lyndon St. and Colby-Sawyer.
Poultney, Vt. - Castleton placed two runners inside of the top 10 as the Spartans finished just shy of the top spot and were edged out by SUNY Cobleskill to finish in second at the Green Mountain Invitational Saturday in Poultney.
Castleton, Vt. - The men's cross country team will head down to nearby Poultney, Vt. to participate in the Green Mountain Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 19, their final race before the North Atlantic Conference Championships.
Westfield, Mass. - The Spartans finished in the middle of the pack at the James Earley Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 12. Of the 35 teams in the event hosted by Westfield St., Castleton finished 18th, behind North Atlantic Conference rival Colby-Sawyer (13th), but ahead of NAC foe New England College (25th).
