PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Castleton men's indoor track and field team competed at the Panther Invitational, hosted by Plymouth State on Saturday.
Ryan Barry placed fourth out of 32 in the 60-meter dash in 7.29 seconds as well as 11th out of 34 in the 200-meter dash in 24.50 seconds to lead the Spartan sprinters. He was also a member of the 4x200-meter relay team with Connor Kukla, Dakota Garrow, and Joseph Ouimet that was fourth in 1:38.99.
Kukla was also 16th in the 60-meter dash in 7.75 seconds. Also in the 60-meter dash, Rudy Ryan was 17th (7.84 seconds), Laurence Roman was 20th (7.92 seconds), Canute Watson finished 22nd (8.04 seconds), and Ryan Boeke clocked in at 30th (8.57 seconds).
Garrow also competed in the 400-meter run where the freshman finished 12th out of 21 in 55.49 seconds.
Meanwhile, Ryan earned a 20th-place finish in the 200-meter dash in 25.48 seconds where Joseph Ouimet was 25th in 25.73 seconds. Ouimet also competed in the pole vault achieving a height of 3.10 meters (10'2") to place fifth.
In the throws, Tayler Larmie placed third in the field of 22 in the weight throw with a heave of 13.86 meters (45'5.75"). Caleb Davidson finished 12th with his longest throw of 11.09 meters (36'4.75"). Davidson was also 11th in the shot put out of 27 at a distance of 11.14 meters (36'6.75"). Ben Forte was 12th in the event at 10.66 meters (34'11.75").
Castleton will return to Plymouth State on Saturday, Feb. 16 for the Little East Conference Championships.
