CASTLETON, Vt. – After helping his team to a 9-0 sweep of in-state foe Johnson St. on Saturday, Castleton men's tennis senior Quentin Barthe was named the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week, as announced on Monday afternoon.
Barthe failed to drop a point against NAC opponent Johnson St. in a non-conference battle on Saturday, teaming up with Seth Marcil for a quick 8-0 victory in top doubles action. Barthe continued his domination into singles play, winning 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 position. The senior is now 4-0 in both doubles and singles play this season, giving him a perfect 8-0 mark combined through four matches at the top doubles and No. 2 singles spots.
This is the second straight week the Spartans have had the NAC's Player of the Week, as Marcil earned the honors a week ago. To view the full NAC release, click here.
Castleton is back in action on Wednesday at Norwich at 3 p.m.
