ANDOVER, N.H. – The Castleton University men's alpine skiers topped the podium as a team for the fourth time in seven races on Saturday, taking the top spot in the slalom at Procter Ski Area.
The Spartans posted a team time of 4:45.71, seven seconds ahead of second-place Clarkson (4:52.66). The University of Connecticut placed third with a total time of 5:06.73.
Paul Rechberger topped the podium individually for the Spartans, clocking in at 1:33.22—just 0.66 seconds head of Clarkson's Thomas Daigle. Logan Mackie added a third-place finish with a time of 1:35.22, while Jan Klindic placed fourth at 1:37.27. Anton Smith finished seventh overall with a time of 1:39.00.
Castleton competes in the slalom once more at Proctor Ski Area on Sunday morning.
