Myron, Pickrell Earn NEILA Senior All-Academic Recognition

AMHERST, Mass. – Two Castleton University men's lacrosse players have earned a place on the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Senior All-Academic Team, as Brandon Myron and Wyatt Pickrell's performance on the field and in the classroom earned them the recognition.

To be eligible for the award, nominees must be a senior in academic standing, have a cumulative GPA above 3.0 and be an impact player for his team. In total, 10 Little East Conference student-athletes made the list, led by Plymouth State with four, Castleton and UMass Boston with two each and Southern Maine and Western Connecticut with one each.

Myron ended his career as Castleton's all-time saves leader, stopping 479 shots over his four years as a Spartan. He also graduated ranking among the all-time leaders in goals-against average and wins after posting 156 saves, in 16 contests this season.

Pickrell was named to the team following his appointment to the CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-District Team, as the midfielder collected six points on three goals and three assists this season. Pickrell became the first Castleton men's lacrosse player to earn the honor, and his impact in the midfield was important to the Spartans' 2019 campaign.
