Otis Goldman Named NEHC Rookie of the Week

CASTLETON, Vt. – Following a week in which he helped lead his team to a 2-0 mark in a pair of key New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) games, Otis Goldman of the Castleton men's hockey team has been named Rookie of the Week by the conference, as announced on Monday afternoon.

Goldman came through in the clutch once again for Castleton this week, scoring the game-winning goal in a thrilling overtime win on the road for Castleton. With just 30.8 seconds left in overtime at Saint Anselm, Goldman buried a rebound to give Castleton its fourth straight victory and first overtime win of the season. It was his fifth goal of the season, and his third game-winning goal, the second most in the conference.

This is the first time in his career that he has earned the honors, as well as the first time this season that a Spartan has been selected for the award. To view the full NEHC release, click here.
